PHILADELPHIA, PA
PHNTMS is a Philly based LGBTQ+ alternative trio whose grandiose arena rock ambitions equally match their uncompromising desire to serve up fun, hooky earworms bathed in pristine production.
Alyssa Gambino, Adam Jessamine and Mikal Smith had originally rooted themselves as fixtures in the humble local indie scene. That was right up until the moment Adam and Mikal invited Alyssa to join the band a week prior to cutting their record in the studio. With influences ranging from Etta James to Biffy Clyro, the tight knit unit instantly agreed to commit to a larger than life sound. The new vision included serving up sugary pop songwriting wrapped in chimey guitar riffs, delivered with a soulful edge that set them apart. This pursuit has led them to share the stage with acts such as Kings of Leon, The 1975, Bastille, Pale Waves, Fitz & The Tantrums, Empire of the Sun and more.
On their upcoming Melrose EP (Spring 2022), produced by the legendary Courtney Ballard (Waterparks, All Time Low, 5SOS), PHNTMS delivers a polished sound with vocal grit and unforgettable choruses spiked with just the right amount of emotional pull. The band imagines their sound best heard from the Main Stage at Glastonbury with flags waving high. And that’s just the beginning for PHNTMS…
