
Artist For Artist was approached by Fiji Airways, national carrier of Fiji to elevate the brand and visibility in the US market. To achieve this, the airline partnered with Artist For Artist and SXSW to create Fiji House - a two-day cultural activation at SXSW in Austin, TX. Designed to immerse attendees in the spirit of Fiji, the event featured breakthrough artists, traditional performances and curated food and beverage offerings that showcased Fijian culture.

Process
As Fiji Airways’ first U.S. experiential event, AFA in partnership with SHW led full-service production under a condensed 10-week timeline. This included: venue sourcing and permitting, curation of a 20-artist lineup blending Fijian and SXSW talent, brand design across all touchpoints, curation and design of a wellness room, projection mapping and LED screen build out and deployment, development of a culturally authentic food and beverage program, strategic PR and media outreach, and on-site video and photography capture for future marketing use. AFA and SHW coordinated over 30 vendor partners and a 40-person production team to bring the activation to life across four immersive zones.

Results
Fiji House surpassed goals with 6,000+ RSVPs and 4,000+ attendees across two days. Onsite surveys showed a 98% guest satisfaction rate. Press coverage across 12+ outlets, including Condé Nast Traveler and Skift, bolstered brand awareness. Fiji Airways saw a 28% spike in U.S. website traffic during the activation, and event content now anchors the airline’s 2025 campaign. Most importantly, attendees left with a deeper connection to Fiji’s culture and a new appreciation for the airline’s story.
